On April 22, 2026, the Ambassador of Georgia to The Kingdom of Norway, Zurab Beridze, held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Georgia, Lise Nordgaard.

New Rules for the employed/self-employed aliens with no permit for permanent residence in Georgia shall enter into force on 1 March 2026. In accordance with the amendments to the Law on Labour Migration, starting from 1 March 2026, employment of an alien with no permit for permanent residence in Georgia with a local employer and the performance of paid work (including remotely), as well as entrepreneurial/labour activity in Georgia (including partnership, independent contracting or otherwise engaging in entrepreneurial activity/labour activities) of an alien with no permit for permanent residence in Georgia, the purpose of which is to obtain economic benefits, are allowed only after this alien obtains the right to work.

In accordance with the Law of Georgia "On Tourism", starting from January 01, 2026 ,  all tourists entering Georgia are required to hold a valid health and accident insurance policy.

Within the framework of the Ambassadors’ Conference, a working meeting was held with Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. The session was chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili.

On 24 December 2025, within the framework of the Ambassadors’ Conference, a working session entitled “Trade, Investment, and Sustainable Development in the Context of Global Challenges” was convened.

On 23 December 2025, within the framework of the Ambassadors’ Conference, a working session was held at the Parliament of Georgia, hosted by the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.

On 23 December 2025, within the framework of the Ambassadors’ Conference, a working session entitled “Culture, Education, Healthcare, and Sport as a Soft Power Platform in Diplomacy” was held. The session was moderated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Khatuna Totladze.

On 22 December 2025, a working session entitled “Diplomacy in the Service of National Defence and Security” was held within the framework of the Ambassadors’ Conference.

The annual meeting of the heads of Georgia’s diplomatic representations abroad - the Ambassadors’ Conference - was officially launched in Tbilisi on 22 December 2025.

Scandinavia’s second-largest airline to launch operations in Georgia from Summer 2026 Scandinavia’s second-largest airline, Norwegian, will begin operating in Georgia starting in the summer of 2026. According to the official announcement, Norwegian will operate direct, regular flights between Copenhagen and Tbilisi twice a week beginning June 27.
