Georgian Wine Seminar Held within the Framework of the Ambassadors’ Conference
On 24 December 2025, within the framework of the Ambassadors’ Conference, heads of Georgia’s diplomatic representations abroad attended a thematic seminar entitled “Georgian Wine: Diversity and Characteristics” at the Jighaura Wine and Vine Museum under the Scientific Research Center.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Bochorishvili, and the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Davit Songulashvili the Georgian diplomats.
Presentations were delivered to the diplomats by the Director of the Scientific Research Center of Agriculture, Levan Ujmajuridze, and the Chairperson of the National Wine Agency, Levan Mekhuzla, who spoke about the Center’s activities and the strategic vision for the development of viticulture and winemaking.
The diplomats also visited the Wine and Vine Museum Space, which showcases the 8,000-year history of Georgian viticulture and winemaking, including exhibits related to the traditional qvevri method. The visit concluded with a tasting of wines produced from indigenous Georgian grape varieties.
The meeting of the heads of Georgia’s diplomatic representations abroad - the Ambassadors’ Conference - is being held in Tbilisi from 22 to 25 December.
