Scandinavia’s second-largest airline to launch operations in Georgia from Summer 2026

Scandinavia’s second-largest airline, Norwegian, will begin operating in Georgia starting in the summer of 2026. Norwegian will operate direct, regular flights between Copenhagen and Tbilisi twice a week beginning June 27.

The entry of one of Europe’s leading low-cost carriers into the Georgian market underscores the effectiveness of Georgia’s aviation strategy, including its efforts to diversify markets and expand international connectivity. It also highlights the country’s dynamic tourism development and its strengthening position on the global aviation map.

The launch of direct regular flights between Tbilisi and Copenhagen will significantly enhance accessibility, stimulate tourism flows from Northern Europe, and contribute to increased sector revenues. This will mark the first-ever direct, regular air connection between the two capitals.
